Amit Kushwaha, a prominent social activist and inspiring personality from Motihari, Bihar, was born in 1991. He completed his early education in Bihar and earned a BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) degree. Amit has always believed that education is not just a piece of paper but a powerful tool to guide one’s life. According to him, the true essence of education lies in enhancing one’s skills and integrating knowledge into one’s life journey.

His commitment to social service is evident through his various initiatives. In 2012-13, Amit started working as the president at the block level under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). During his tenure, he raised his voice for the workers’ payment and ensured that they received their rightful dues. This dedication earned him a strong reputation in the community.

In late 2014, Amit ventured into the financial sector with the aim of helping the underprivileged access loans to improve their financial conditions. Over the past decade, he has contributed significantly to this sector and continues to do so. Amit believes that the biggest challenge in the financial sector today is bringing in honest employees, as integrity is sorely lacking in this field.

Amit has always worked toward empowering the youth. He has donated blood 33 times and uses this platform to spread awareness in society. He has organized several seminars and large-scale events inspired by the messages of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, and Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, which have influenced thousands of young people to improve their lives.

The “Jagriti Yatra” has been a major source of inspiration for Amit. This journey encourages youth to pursue entrepreneurship and prepares them to bring about positive changes in society. He believes that through the Jagriti Yatra, youth not only get the opportunity to meet successful individuals but also learn the strength to struggle and work on the ground.

On February 9, 2021, Amit founded “Sarvakshi Financial Services Limited.” The primary objective of the company is to provide loans to as many people as possible to improve their lives. The company offers various types of loans available throughout India.

In October 2024, Amit established the “Lok Kalyan Foundation” and organized the “Kushwaha Adhikar Rally” under its umbrella. During this rally, he raised several important demands, including the implementation of the Maurya Regiment, providing OBC reservations to the Kushwaha community in proportion to their population, conducting a re-evaluation of the caste survey in Bihar to determine the correct percentage of the Kushwaha (Koiri) community, ensuring full implementation of 65% OBC reservation, taking action against the rising killings in the Kushwaha community, and ensuring the establishment of a statue of Emperor Ashoka in every district of Bihar, along with the protection of Ashoka pillars.

Amit’s biggest project for 2025 is “Champaran Satyagraha 2025: A Conference Based on Panchayati Raj.” The objective of this conference is to re-establish the principles of Mahatma Gandhi’s Gram Swaraj and Panchayati Raj in the modern context. The main goals include upholding human rights, strengthening the rule of law, ensuring transparency in local governance, and promoting inclusive citizenship.

Amit Kushwaha’s life is a symbol of social service, struggle, and dedication. His efforts in various fields have contributed significantly to bringing positive change in society. He believes that until we do something for the underprivileged sections of society, we cannot truly call ourselves citizens of our country. His life serves as an inspiration for the youth, and he continues to work towards the upliftment of society through his tireless efforts.
